Karly Allen
Doctor of Physical Therapy
Certified Athletic Trainer

Dr. Karly Allen is a Doctor of Physical Therapy and Certified Athletic Trainer with over 15 years of clinical experience. Her schooling includes a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training with a minor in dance from Kent State University and a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Slippery Rock University. At Kent State she had the opportunity to work with many athletes in a variety of different sports as well as conduct a movement based research project within the dance program. Her post graduate continuing education has focused on vestibular/vertigo/post concussion rehab, Pilates for rehab professionals, spinal dysfunction, and dance/orthopedic related injuries. Karly has also loved having the opportunity to provide physical therapy services backstage at various musical theater productions at the Benedum and Heinz Hall.

She is an Ohio native, where she grew up dancing as a member of a pre-professional ballet company and moved on to perform with the Kent Dance Ensemble in college. It was her love of ballet that lead her to pursue physical therapy when she had the opportunity to work backstage with the Ohio Ballet during an athletic training internship.

Karly met her husband, Mike, at Slippery Rock, where they graduated in the same physical therapy class. Since 2006, they have been tackling the PT world together and in 2017 decided to follow their dreams and open their own clinic. The two of them are proud business owners, but above all, are proud parents to their son, Noah and their new pup, Titus. Outside of work Karly loves spending time with family and friends, being Noah’s number one cheerleader with sports, enjoying the arts, and teaching Pilates.

Michael Allen
Doctor of Physical Therapy

Dr. Mike Allen is the co-owner of Precision Physical Therapy and Performance. Mike holds a Doctorate in Physical Therapy and Bachelors in Exercise Physiology, having over 15 years of clinical experience. He also serves as the Varsity Pitching Coach for the Pine Richland Rams Baseball Team and has a special interest in working with baseball players of all levels. Dr. Allen’s diverse background led him to create a multi-faceted facility providing the highest level of physical therapy, strength and conditioning, and sports performance to everyone from professional athletes to the youth athlete just realizing his/her interest in any respected sport. Extensive post-doctorate education in manual therapy, movement assessment, corrective and performance-based exercise prescription, and pitching mechanics has allowed Dr. Allen to continue to evolve as a clinician and coach. The coupling of his background and experiences with his coaching expertise with the overhead athlete makes him one of the most sought-after clinicians in the area not only for the overhead athlete, but for athletes of all walks. His treatment and training philosophies include a thorough movement assessment followed by an individualized program focused on proper corrective motor control and/or mobility exercises, as well as creating relative strength and overall performance enhancement. Blending the ability to implement preventative measures for each individual and their needs and the progressive nature of their development, Dr. Mike has the ability to help create true health and longevity for any and every athlete that walks through the doors at Precision.
